More bootlegz?

DigsySlattery:
I'm trying to expand my collection some more, especially with newer bootlegs. If anyone has some other than these, or knows someone who might, please let me know. I can do much trading, if the original creators of the bootlegs don't mind. I figure enough time has passed for all these shows that any novelty in exclusivity has probably passed, right? If not, let me know. I don't know what the rules for trading bootlegs are and I don't want to step on toes!

I have some others that I made or acquired, usually being industrious and going outside the usual sources (to get that Lipscomb show, the dude came and met me at work at the funeral home--that probably creeped him the hell out to be trading Features bootleg CD's in a meeting room where people made burial arrangements).  I was always too lazy (and probably a little too snobby) to distribute what I had.  I see right off the bat that you need the Thunder 94 bootleg from '98, THE definitive Sergio-era Features show.  That Rocketown Show that no one is supposed to have pales in comparison.

Several of mine were never converted past minidisc, so that also adds to the problem of circulating them.  Coming to mind off hand, I have--
-an Atlanta show from the Earl in probably 04 that no one else recorded.
-The 328 show from 10/01 in which Matt broke the strings on every guitar he touched that night, finally just clapping his hands along to 33 1/3 (low quality, mini-disc only right now)
-The Lightning 100 Radio Show from summer 2005 that is un-listenable
-The February 2002 show from 12th & Porter that brianeno2 said was the best show ever--the first big show after the messageboard got rolling, I think
-January 29, 2000--the debut of Dark Room and the second time they played See You Through
-The Lightning 100 Show opening for Fluid Ounces from 5/99.  Very early Rollum show.  Debut of Kari Anne with very very different lyrics.
-A 2004 Exit/In show--one of the few soundboard recordings I have

I'm pretty sure that I have more.  I remember making another 12th & Porter show that blightman also circulated.  It's all so hazy now, and since I never uploaded any of these to iTunes, I am not in regular contact with them.

Tom Foolery might have better access to at least some of these.

I would love to remedy this, if you can. And thanks to Ben*Slack for that Rocketown show. Um, is no one supposed to have it because it's so old or because it's part of a big conspiracy that no one talks about?

I remember this show and you saying it was unlistenable. I have always wanted to hear it, though, as I think it was the only time they played "Take You On" and...it might be the first time they played "Contrast" too. For historical purposes, it's worth hearing.

If you ever get the time to put those on a data CD, a file hosting site, or an audio CD, I would love to get my grubby paws on any of those shows. I can provide some sort of payment!

Tom Foolery:
Here are some that I have that haven't been listed yet...

1999-05-09 - Broadcast on Lightning 100's "Nashville Sunday Night" show.  This was the record release show for Fluid Ounces' "In the New Old Fashioned Way"

2000-01-29 - The Boro - Opening for Fluid Ounces

2000-11-11 - Tomato Head (Knoxville, TN)

2000-12-16 - The Boro - Billed as "An Evening of Christmas Music with The Features".  The Sneaky Eaters opened, and Santa Claus himself made a guest appearance when The Features played "Psycho Santa."

2002-02-09 - 12th & Porter.  The set included "Moonlight" and "Temporary Blues"

2002-03-28 - Blue Cats - Recorded by Blightman.  This was the show at which Senryu opened for The Features.

2002-06-21 - 12th & Porter

What if we set up an FTP site on this site?  Think the band would care?

In the mean time (and as a belated celebration of my graduation back to "Junior Member"), I've attached "Down You Go" from the 5/9/1999 show.  (Wow... that was 10 years ago...)
