Sticking with the "tweet" thread because technically this was a tweet and it is kind of about the new album, I am happy to say that during the next couple weeks over on the Paste site they will be showing videos of the band sharing their incites into every track on Wilderness. I didn't shoot with the band but they asked me to work on the post production for the project... I have been very excited to have you guys see these because we have been sitting on them for a while now waiting for Paste, who has them exclusively to work out the details. There isn't anything ground shattering but I think it's just fun to see which songs the band like, and where they came from. Just as an FYI I think Another One, Fats Domino, and Chapter Three all turned out well... they may not be worth the wait especially now that we all have heard the songs but its cool to see the guys' sense of humor come through a bit.

I was just watching those videos before I saw your post.  When I saw them, I thought it looked like your handiwork.  Very nice job!

However, I don't think these have been marketed properly.  The headline should read:  WATCH THE LEAST TALKATIVE BAND IN THE WORLD TRY TO DESCRIBE THEIR ALBUM!

I think interviewing Matt Pelham would be akin to pulling teeth.

Ha. The funny part is Matt, Roger, and Mark were very talkative, and pretty insightful into the production or the actual lyrics of the song. (They sent the RAW video and we picked the bites) Rollum might have talked about every song in one sentence... "...its fun to play live..." but he gets into great depth in the Chapter three video and he might steal the show with that one.
Look at the size of that graduated cylinder!

part 2 of the videos is up.  this time they talk about Big Mama, Rambo, and Golden Comb.  rolum says that golden comb is fun to play live.

More Twitter news...  (Maybe we should syndicate their Twitter feed here...)

The fourth and final installment of the Wilderness songs discussion has been posted at Paste's site.  Once again, great work on these, Smorph!

Olive and Sinclair (the only true chocolate makers in TN) are making a special Features chocolate bar.  According to Nashville Cream, this will be for sale at the show on Friday.  There will also be a new, special Features beer from Don Sergio's brewery.  (WTF?!?  Sergio makes beer now?)

Lastly... I get to type something that I never thought I'd get to type:  A Features record has made it onto the Billboard charts.  Wilderness came in at #43 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart!  This needs more exclamation points.  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There... that's better...

When I read that, it just seemed so fitting based on what I've heard about Don and from when I've seen/met him.  I don't know why.

It doesn't need exclamation points.  It only needs one thing:   :phear:

Yes, and it is THE BEST beer I have ever tasted. You can buy growlers of it around town at J. Barleycorn's and Frugal MacDoogal or enjoy a pint at 12th South Taproom.

It's been a few days now, but an article in The Tennessean was linked on Twitter the other day.  I've read so many of these short newspaper write-ups about The Features that they all seem the same.  This one, however, was really good, and I thought it had some good insights.
